About the event
Invoking Ancestral Wisdom
Calling to our Grandmothers, the well ones within our ancestral line, Shannah Warwick will guide us through an embodied meditation journey. Working with the vibration of our lineage, we will intentionally bring forward our magic and medicine. As the energy builds, we will embody and hold the prayers for our generation. This is a powerful act of love meant to be shared by all in the circle so that we may bring forth new energy into the collective consciousness. We work through the energetic wombspace as the anchor point on our timeline. And we work with the wisdom in each of our ancestral lines as we collectively weave the magic needed for our community, our country, and our planet.
Moon Ceremony: Led by Bernie Rapacki, a full Moon Ceremony is a blend of Native American(Mohawk) teachings and an ancient western European ceremony. This has been passed down, honoring the oral tradition, by our Native American teacher, Feather Full Moon. She understands the importance of keeping these teachings alive and active in todays world. Full Moon Ceremony is said to create balance between heaven and earth.
This ceremony takes place outside after sunset. Please come dressed for the weather. We will be on the ground for short periods of time. You may bring a blanket to place on the earth. There will be a brief teaching offered at the beginning, followed by the moon ceremony. All together the evening will be 2-3 hours. Ceremony is usually done in standing. If you need to sit, you may bring a chair with you and sit as needed during the ceremony.
You will need to bring a palm sized stone with you. This stone will be placed on the moon altar and will not be returned to you. You may bring items to be blessed on the moon altar. These items will be returned to you after ceremony. It is traditional for women to wear a skirt and a shawl, but this is optional. You can wear something that is sacred to you.
This ceremony allows for a deeper connection to Spirit, Mother Earth, and the Divine Feminine or Goddess. You will join others in a sacred circle.
Please consider bringing a dish to pass to share light refreshments after the ceremony.
