Moon Ceremony: Led by Bernie Rapacki, a full Moon Ceremony is a blend of Native American(Mohawk) teachings and an ancient western European ceremony. This has been passed down, honoring the oral tradition, by our Native American teacher, Feather Full Moon. She understands the importance of keeping these teachings alive and active in todays world. Full Moon Ceremony is said to create balance between heaven and earth.
This ceremony takes place outside after sunset. Please come dressed for the weather. We will be on the ground for short periods of time. You may bring a blanket to place on the earth. Ceremony can last between 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Ceremony is usually done in standing. If you need to sit, you may bring a chair with you and sit as needed during the ceremony.
You will need to bring a palm sized stone with you. This stone will be placed on the moon altar and will not be returned to you. You may bring items to be blessed on the moon altar. These items will be returned to you after ceremony. It is traditional for women to wear a skirt and a shawl, but this is optional. You can wear something that is sacred to you.
This ceremony allows for a deeper connection to Spirit, Mother Earth, and the Divine Feminine or Goddess. You will join others in a sacred circle.
Please consider bringing a dish to pass to share light refreshments after the ceremony.
